Experienced and Trained Professionals

We only hire the best. Our team of mentors and consultants are vetted top professionals, thoroughly experienced in teaching and mentoring students of many levels. But that is not all. As educators we are continuously growing and adapting. Thus, Scientist Academics also trains its people on best teaching and mentoring practices where teams of mentors then go on to work with students, guiding them to success.

To fulfill the demand for top talent, Scientist Academics pays its mentors and consultants significantly better rate than competitors. We strongly believe in paying people what they are worth, especially during these ever-evolving economic times. If you are a top educator/mentor interested in working with us, please reach out!

Alyssa. Founder. Mentor. “I’m Alyssa, and I am in my last semester of the Speech and Language Pathology graduate program at CUNY Lehman. I have also worked in non profit for 10+ years. I was born and raised in Harlem and understand the importance of academic programs for all children, especially those in the inner city. I enjoy providing dynamic academic support that entails components of mentoring. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trying new places to eat, and watching documentaries.”

Veeshan Narinesingh, PhD. Founder. Mentor. “My name is Vee. I am a weather and climate physicist, educator, and diversity-in-STEM warrior. I was born and raised in the greater NYC metropolitan area, the landing spot for my parents when they immigrated from Trinidad and Tobago. In addition to Scientist Academics, I currently work as a physicist studying fluid dynamics aspects of weather, climate, and climate change. I am also passionate about fighting to create better opportunities for youth in underserved communities. For more information, you can visit my personal website.”

Ashraf. Mentor. “My name is Ashraf and I’m a 1st year graduate student in physics. My current research is in particle physics but in the past, I’ve worked on plasma physics. My teaching philosophy is that everyone learns differently and the key to maximizing your potential is by figuring out exactly what your learning style is and how to adapt to the variety of classes you will encounter. My goal in working with students is not only to help them with a specific subject but to enhance their overall learning abilities and self-confidence. When I’m not working, I enjoy watching horror movies after the sun goes down, playing video games new and old, reading science fiction, and practicing guitar.”

Marlene. Mentor. “I’m Marlene, and I’m a second-year undergraduate studying physics and biomedical sciences in my home state of New York! I plan to gain my MD, PhD in biophysics, and become a neurovascular surgeon. Tutoring for Scientist Academics is a great opportunity for me to meet students in the place I was in not long ago who I can help with my skills. In my free time, I crochet, read nonfiction, and spend way too much time quoting internet references.”
