Learning doesn’t have to just be at school. We invest time and money into things like sports and other activities, why not invest in learning valuable skills such as data analysis, coding, or presentation? Why not invest in taking a crash course to better develop math or physics skills? Scientist Academics is here to help. Doing so at YOUR own pace!
Coding Through Weather and Climate Change Analysis
Computer programming a.k.a. coding is becoming an ever-valuable skill in the modern workforce. Coding is now used across many disciplines from finance, to game development, to fashion and scientific computing –with much of the knowledge transferable from industry to industry.
In this course, students take a hands-on approach to learn the fundamentals of coding in Python put into the context of weather, climate, and climate change. Students are taught some of the fundamental math and science concepts behind atmospheric science, then put it to use on real data. Everything from for loops to Fourier transforms and big data analysis is covered.
As a culmination of what they learned, students will also develop and perform their own original research project which is then presented. This project-based learning approach fosters skills not only related to coding, science, and math, but also helps them to develop effective communication and presentation skills.
This course is adaptable for learners at any level. Feel free to reach out for more information!

Practical Academic Writing
Writing is both a science and an art. In applications for example, you want to be practical, highlighting your strengths and skills, but you also want to be illustrative, telling a compelling story. This is not always easy for everyone, but taking a process-oriented approach helps students to put pen to paper more easily and effectively. Our team of writing experts will help you or someone you know learn to master the full process of writing effectively — from outlining and drafting to revision and submission.
